Canada, the once considered as a country full of igloos and polar bears, has now shown the world it's great capabilities. Now we are only 2 medals away from being placed third in the overall medal standings and the world will know what a nation we are. As for the Olympic Games themselves, the wold has never before seen such great human fighting spirit or determination. Myself? I have been inspired to think that I can do anything, everything is possible and I have the ability to do my best. Just this morning, an athlete from the USA was doing a cross country sprint and on the downhill part, she fell out of the track and into a ditch. She broke three ribs, but after medical crews came, she insisted on continuing her race and in the end she came in second and was helped up onto the podium during the medal ceremony. During the mens figure skating, the Japanese athlete has his shoe laces broke, but after he fixed them up, he kept on skating and just by looking at him, he was young and for such a young person to be able compete in the Olympics is quite an astounding feat. As an athlete myself, I am amazed at the things that the Olympics were able to accomplish and that teaches me a great lesson not to slack off and do the best that I can, ALWAYS.... or usually =D
